One of the lessons I’ve learnt in my product management experience was to engage more decision-makers during the product development process. The traditional design meeting usually only includes the designers and managers from the client end. But a lot of the times we failed to spot some unseen but crucial problems through the lenses of other decision-makers, such as the sales expert, tech expert and customer support experts. As a designer, I view the product is like a cube because no one can see all of its facets at the same time. Including personnel from various arrays of expertise allows you to view things with new angles and understand your product to a deeper level.
